The Gryphons Summer Moot 1117AF

I feel I should apologise to the people of the Gryphon Faction, I had intentions of providing more sketches to capture their culture and scenery but unfortunately I was involved in the high magic trials. The trials took far more time than I expected and my time was limited to only a couple of sketches, one is the sword above the flames and the other of an urn by the ritual circle. In addition to these is the sketch of a sign hanging outside the Scouts Guild.

The Druids Axe.

Over the last year I have got to know Abrozar of the healers guild and Gryphons well. He was telling me of his druid ways and the care he gives to the trees. He also took time to describe a favourite flint axe for his work. After listening to his words I sketched the image, I hope my guess work is right and I can compare it to the real thing when we next meet (some OOC notes on this sketch).

The Gryphon’s Camp.

With its familiar blue flag hoisted high above the camp and the impressive central marquee, the Gryphons camp stood in the morning sunshine against a backdrop of tall trees.

Welcome Rest for the Gryphon Warriors.

The second full day of the moot seemed to hold the promise of spring as I set forth from the Wolf Camp to wander the fields. I crossed the merchants field and found myself walking by the Gryphons. The steady sound of snoring rose from many of the tents as I passed by, no doubt the Gryphons were enjoying a quiet mornings rest after a hectic night of guarding and fighting the boarders of their camp. I am certainly not one to deny such people their rest.

Quietly I sat myself down besides their faction gate and sketched the tent and standard of the Order Of Mythras. One or two of the early risers from the Gryphons bid me good morning as they passed by. I returned their greetings and once I was finished with my drawing I continued my stroll, leaving the rest of the camp to awaken to a fine dawn.

The Tesseract

Stone pillars and wooden walls lay draped in ivy, flowers and a multitude of butterflies. Wards glimmered with a strange light and a white pillar stood centrally in the central space. The Tesseract seemed to embody the essence of the our Fey hosts and would prove to be the backdrop for many competitions and games at the Fayre. I spent an hour soaking in the atmosphere without interruption before the days events began as I moved the scene from my senses into the sketchbook.
